1900s
The Meijer family bought and successfully redeveloped the Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam. In retrospect, it was one of the most interesting purchases the Meijer family could have made. It was a rewarding project with a positive impact. Moreover, it sealed the Meijer family’s future as pioneers in the Dutch and European real estate market
1970
Ton Meijer establishes the MAB Group. The company will ultimately become the largest developer in the country, with leading projects including Oosterdokseiland, the city centers of Amstelveen, Zoetermeer and Almere as well as Babylon in the Hague. Abroad, MAB realized projects including Domus in Paris.
2000
Ton Meijer and his wife Maya Meijer-Bergman head the MeyerBergman Erfgoed Groep together. They are able to embark on high-profile heritage projects with cultural, historical and symbolic significance.
2004
Ton Meijer, who previously led the MAB Group, and Markus Meijer establish Meyer Bergman together. Meyer Bergman deals with property and investments throughout Europe. Since 2008, they invested more than €2.5 billion in immovable property throughout Europe.
2013
Ton Meijer and his son, Bart Meijer founded Meijer Realty Partners.
This is the start of Meijer Realty Partners (MRP) before evolving into a larger and flexible business.
2016
MRP is one of the three subsidiary companies of Meijer Realty Partners.
Later on in 2016, Meijer Realty Partners (MR)P acquires ASR Real Estate Development (ASR Ontwikkeling).
2017
More recently, since 2017, the MeyerBergman Erfgoed Groep has owned the Soestdijk Palace. Soestdijk Palace is a former palace of the royal family of the Netherlands. The historical landmark functioned as the residence and hunting lodge of the Dutch royal family.
2020
Meyer Bergman has rebranded to MARK and expanded its strategy to include life sciences and digital real estate opportunities.
At the end of 2020, MRP Development rebrands as ‘MRP’ with a new look and feel, logo and website for the start of the new year.
2021
In November 2021, Bart Meijer started Meijer Realty Partners in Athens Greece, signaling a new era for MRP. Respectful and truthful to all its values, MRP aims to contribute to Greece’s new age of sustainable creation with a positive impact to communities and nature. MRP means to celebrate a healthier urban life while exploring the assets of the country that is the sun, the sea and the invigorating light.
